Entering the World of "Virtual Coworking"

Like most people’s lives and businesses, the coworking industry ha been turned on its head in the past couple months with the outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s taken a huge financial and emotional toll on so many people, and we aren’t an exception to it but we have been working hard to continue providing value to our members the past few months as many have been working from home. In March we rolled out a number of stay-at-home amenities to our membership in an effort to continue providing value and community. We put out features such as weekly virtual happy hours and game nights over Google Hangouts and Zoom, free yoga sessions, curbside pickup and delivery of office supplies and equipment and print jobs, connection via Slack, and most importantly we have had a number of online events through our partnership with the Un.Inc campus. The Un.Inc campus has given us an opportunity to create a virtual space for members to have a dialogue with mentors, founders, and designers. Every Monday and Tuesday at noon and 6pm, there have been events to engage people with a fresh co-creating topic and guest mentor to give insight and guidance.

Because of the growing demand for connection and community even when we’re not physically together, Createscape has decided to roll out a stand-alone Virtual Coworking membership, priced at $25/month for month-to-month service and discounted rates for longer terms. We are dedicating more resources towards this new membership which we believe is appealing to those of you want to be a part of Createscape even if you are working from home, live too far from us in Austin, have moved somewhere else, or are on the other side of the globe. In addition to all the perks of the Un.Inc campus, you will get access to 3-4 weekly mentor sessions on Zoom, the whole Un.Inc campus & curriculum, monthly social events online, our Slack community including motivation check-ins, member-exclusive communications and offers, as well as discounts on day passes and meeting rooms. A separate membership option offered for mail service and advanced remote management options for your mail is our Virtual Mail memberships powered by Spheremail which are worth checking out.

Virtual Coworking amenities are included with all our in-person membership options at higher tiers as well, so General, Part-Time, Desk, Office Pod, and Private Office memberships get to take advantage of these new resources too. We will continue working on these new features and improving them bit by bit, so if you’re curious about virtual coworking we hope you will give it a try. We definitely believe that necessity is the mother of invention, and creativity of ideas is best through community.
