Createscape's Guide to Voting in Austin
Register to vote, stay informed on candidates and issues, and exercise your right to participate in our country's, and Texas', democratic process.
Midterm elections are less than a month away and we here at Createscape want to use this opportunity to remind you to go vote and offer some helpful information about nearby polling locations, and registering to vote. The midterms may be less flashy than the presidential election every four years, but people elected to Congress, plus state, local, and down-ballot offices will have a big impact on our country, as well as life in Texas, over the next several years.
In Texas, voters will elect officials for seven statewide seats, including governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, land commissioner, agriculture commissioner, comptroller and one of three seats on the Railroad Commission. Voters will also elect officials for district-based congressional and legislative offices, the State Board of Education and judicial seats.
The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 11. You begin the registration process online here.
Early Voting for Travis County runs from Monday, October 24, 2022 - Friday, November 4, 2022: 7am - 7pm
Election Day is Tuesday, November 8, 2022: 7am - 7pm

The three most convenient locations to vote near Createscape are Conley Guerrero Senior Activity Center at 808 Nile St, Millennium Youth Complex at 1156 Hargrave St, and Carver Branch Library at 1161 Angelina St. A full list of polling locations can be seen here.
