Happy Pride from Createscape!

Okay sooooo the last few weeks have been a lot. Between juggling projects and the general chaos of June, my husband surprised me with a facial at Milk and Honey downtown last weekend, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. Super relaxing (minus the extractions on my nose, which... if you know, you know).

As I was checking out, my aesthetician looked at me and said, "I don't want to be presumptuous, but — Happy Pride!" I laughed, said thank you, and then watched her turn to a different guy in the lobby and wish him a Happy Father's Day. She was out here reading the whole room, one customer at a time. I thought that was pretty great.

It felt like a good reminder to say it out loud: Happy Pride, Createscape Community.

We're a queer-owned business, 12 years running now, which still kind of blows my mind when I say it out loud. We just joined the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce last year and had our Rainbow Ribbon Cutting in the fall, and it's been such a genuinely great community to plug into. But more than any milestone or membership, what means the most is knowing that this space has been a place where LGBTQ+ folks have felt like they belong. That's not something we take lightly.

And hey, if you don't have plans tomorrow, June 25th around 4 PM, come celebrate with us. We're hosting a Pride Happy Hour right here at Createscape. Nothing too formal...just drinks, food, good energy, and good people. Our members make this place what it is, and we'd love to see you here.

Hope to see you Thursday.
