Creation Month: You're Already More Creative Than You Think

Hi everybody! We've loved doing our themes of the month all throughout this year, and October's theme here at Createscape is.... CREATION, and we've been thinking a lot about what that word actually means.

I think when most people hear "creative," they picture an artist, a filmmaker, a designer. Not everyone knows that our roots as a coworking space almost 13 years ago have this type of profile in mind. Someone whose job description basically says creative in it. And if that's not you, it's easy to feel like the theme doesn't really apply to your work.

But we'd push back on that a little, because creativity isn't just what you make, it's also how you think. It's the moment you solve a problem in a way nobody expected. It's the email you rewrote (and rewrote) until it finally said exactly what you meant. It's the cool system you built to stop doing the same annoying task twice. It's showing up to a meeting with a funky idea nobody asked you to have.

It's all creation in our view, and you're probably doing it more than you realize. And being around other creative-minded folks is why we pivoted very early on to have the workspace be as inclusive as possible to all types of professions and industries. So this month, we're inviting you to notice those moments and maybe give yourself a little credit for them. Whether you're building a business, managing a team, or just trying to get through your inbox, there's more creativity in your day than you think. And we've got a space for all of it.
